For me, round two of the World Cup means only one thing. No. More. Ties. Thank God! Americans are allergic to ties. Which is why hockey and soccer have never cracked the holy trilogy of popular American sports. Ironically, the sports with the single greatest method of breaking ties are hockey and soccer. Don't ask me why they only do it half the time. Long live the Shootout! With the entire country of Brazil holding it's breath, the first shootout of the World Cup looked a little bit like this...
